HOW WE ACCELERATE INNOVATION
The BETA.HEALTH Innovation Model forms the foundation of how we accelerate clinical innovation projects that receive a grant through our program.
The model is built around three core elements, each with three key areas, representing the 9 central themes and competencies we focus on when developing and maturing clinical innovation.
At the beginning of the acceleration program, each project – together with its BETA.Partner – assesses its current status using our Innovation Readiness Level (IRL) scale across all nine key areas.
This shared assessment provides a visual and strategic overview of the project’s overall maturity and helps identify where support and focus are most needed during the program.

Through BETA.HEALTH, we transformed ATHENA from a proof-of-concept into a clinical solution ready for EPIC integration, clinical validation, and regulatory scaling. The accelerator program gave us access to expert sparring, a clear commercialization strategy, IP, and the partnerships needed to prepare ATHENA for spin-out.
