THE NEED
Tracheal intubation is a complex, high-risk procedure with a low first-attempt success rate (50–80%) and significant risk of adverse events such as brain injury or death. An ageing population, obesity, and chronic illnesses increase intubation difficulty. Current methods rely heavily on operator experience, leaving less experienced staff prone to critical errors.
THE SOLUTION
VITION-CAM uses a neural network to analyse video frames in real-time, accurately identifying airway anatomy and providing immediate visual guidance. Integrated into video laryngoscopes, it offers prompts and positioning assistance to ensure proper placement of the breathing tube, improving safety and success rates.

PROJECT SUMMARY
VITION-CAM is an AI-powered solution integrated into video laryngoscopes, providing real-time anatomical guidance during intubation. It enhances first-attempt success rates, reduces complications, and improves safety in both elective and emergency airway management.
CLINICAL IMPACT
VITION-CAM enhances first-attempt intubation success, reducing complications like oesophageal intubation that can lead to severe brain damage or death. By providing real-time AI guidance, it supports both novice and experienced clinicians, improving patient outcomes, reducing procedure time, and increasing hospital efficiency.
